RL LACE SISTERS
Ralph Lauren's Spring 2011 Collection was one of our favorites. The romantic laces mixed with masculine suedes reminded us of our favorite book "Sisters" by David Hamilton (check out our previous posting) and bit of Legends of the Fall. We hope you enjoy as much as we did.

First look inside....
Below are images of The Musee de la Chasse et de la Nature, a private museum of hunting and nature in the heart of Paris. Check out more here but good luck translating! The museum was amazing, incredible, one of the best sights in Paris! No flash allowed inside, so I tried my best with my not so great camera. The design and display of everything was incredible. Definitely a must when in Paris. More to come!

The entire museum, starting with the courtyard is a great mix of old and new.

Leur Chien, an exhibition of photographs by Antoine Schneck, portrays approx. 60 dogs belonging to France’s leading figures. The photographer chose a type of representation traditionally reserved for portraits of humans to better express the psychology of the animal.

These owls and feathers covered the entire ceiling of a small jewel box room.

Wendy Burden-From Vanderbilt to "Spit"
I recently fell in love with the story and Portland, Ore. home of author and painter Wendy Burden. You must read (links below) for yourself, but here are some of my favorite images of her home.

Four generations of riding boots.
Vintage embroidered Pierre Balmain bodice, once belonged to her grandmother
Grandparents' Louis Vuitton luggage with sticker from the Ritz in Paris still on them
