We are East Coast girls...

After spending some time in LA/Palm Springs, I was ready for my NY...

until we visited Monte Nido. 

A horse-loving community set deep in the Malibu canyons, 

it seemed too good to be true. (which it was, because we had to leave the next day)

and headed North on Highway 1
