About a year, Advanced Style featured the fabulous Mimi Weddell. After learning of her, I had to see the documentary on her amazing life, Hats Off.

It was truly inspirational. I was very excited when I found these images in Casa Vogue 2005. (photographed by our favorite, Tim Walker).

WE LOVE RODARTE. They are so talented, and of course we love them being sisters that work together! When I saw these images this morning from their Spring 11 show, it immediately reminded me of a Ralph Lauren bedding collection featuring a similar watercolor chinoiserie print. Also of our recent posting of Tim Walker's chinoiserie inspired shoot.

"Houston" on Patmos and some Tim Walker

First up, a Greek cafe "The Houston" on the island of Patmos. Opened by a greek man (now run by his two eldery sisters after his passing) who made his fortune in Texas and returned to his homeland to share his success. The cafe is a paean to the emigres dream come true-a shrine to the American Dream. (look for pic of JFK on fridge) World of Interiors July 2009
