Hopi Color Tints

Love these Hopi Indian photographs from the 1920's-50's. We are such suckers for color tinted photographs! 

Fred Kabotie, a Hopi Pueblo artist (painter and silversmith) who was one of the first students taught painting methods by Elizabeth DeHuff

Married Hopi woman, wrapped in her wedding gown, that was likely woven by her husband. You can tell she is married because her hair is down, not up in the butterfly whorls worn by unmarried Hopi girls.

Surrealist Hand Painted Photographs

I love these hand painted photographs 

by French surrealist/ Dada movement artist 

Georges Hugnet (1906-1974).

 His series, "The Love Life of the Spumifers" was completed in 1948, 

and is now being shown at Ubu Gallery in NYC.

EAMES HOUSE: Inside and Out

A couple months ago I was fortunate enough to go on a private tour 

 of the Eames House in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. 

It was so inspiring to me on many levels.

 Not only were Charles and Ray such talented people, 

they were so in love constantly inspiring one another. 

Their home remains intact and untouched from Ray's final days living in the home.
