"Houston" on Patmos and some Tim Walker

First up, a Greek cafe "The Houston" on the island of Patmos. Opened by a greek man (now run by his two eldery sisters after his passing) who made his fortune in Texas and returned to his homeland to share his success. The cafe is a paean to the emigres dream come true-a shrine to the American Dream. (look for pic of JFK on fridge) World of Interiors July 2009

....And some shots by Tim Walker, Sara's favorite. Love the colors in both spreads.

1920's French Color Tinted Postcards

Found these at Brimfield in May (more Brimfield finds to come). Love the coloring...and how great is the green robe?! You can find similar postcards on ebay but for ten times what you would pay in the fields....SO, see you in September! Check out these blog's findings. I love seeing what other people (especially designers) are drawn to.

I watch you spin from afar, I drink you in and breathe you out. I'm camouflaged by the timeline. I'm camouflaged when the sun shines...

...Two ships passing in the night Two lips pressing ground the tides I believe the world it spins for you
We will never be, I am the moon.
(Sarah Moon throughout the years)

spread the love
