Das weiße Band/The White Ribbon

Last night a friend invited me to see Michael Haneke's "The White Ribbon" (part of the NYC Film Festival). The film takes place in 1913 Germany in a small rural town. "The White Ribbon" is a multiple award nominee and winner of three 2009 Cannes Film Festival awards including the FIPRESCI Prize, Golden Palm and Cinema Prize of the French National Education System. It was interesting, and stunningly beautiful. Here are some images.
